Samora One sends mail to people who did not ask for it. That is legitimate in business when it is done with care, and indefensible when it is not. This page draws the line. It forms part of the terms, and we enforce it.

The short version

Write to a business because you genuinely think you can help it. Say who you are. Stop when asked. Everything below follows from those three.

Do not

  • Contact anybody you have no lawful basis to contact. The rules differ by country and some of them require prior consent; knowing which applies to your list is your job.
  • Hide who you are - no forged sender names, misleading subject lines or fake reply addresses.
  • Keep writing to somebody who has asked you to stop, or remove them from a suppression list to write again.
  • Upload a purchased or scraped list of personal addresses and send to it from here.
  • Send anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or aimed at defrauding the recipient.
  • Use the service to distribute malware, phishing links or anything designed to deceive.
  • Target private individuals rather than businesses, or use it for anything resembling a personal dispute.
  • Attempt to break, overload or work around the limits, checks and pacing built into the product.
  • Resell access or run the service on behalf of a third party without telling us.

Sending, specifically

Outbound mail is paced deliberately and capped by a daily limit you set on your own mailbox. Those limits exist to protect the person receiving the mail and the domain sending it. Do not try to defeat them by rotating mailboxes, splitting one campaign across several accounts, or automating around the queue.

Every message you send should make it obvious who is writing and offer a real way to be left alone. A reply saying “stop” counts, and you must honour it.

If you are on the receiving end

If a message you received through this service was unwelcome, write to abuse@samoraone.com and we will suppress your details across the whole platform, not just for the sender who wrote to you. You do not need an account and you do not have to explain.

If you believe a sender is breaking this policy, tell us at the same address with the message if you still have it. We read these.

What we do about it

Depending on what we find, we may warn the account, pause its sending, suspend it, or close it. Where somebody is being harmed right now we act first and explain afterwards. Where the law has been broken we may have to report it.
